International Telephone Exchange Database - Mexico

Mexico Edition - Current Release: December 3, 2009

The International Telephone Exchange Database - Mexico Edition identifies current Mexico telephone area codes, city codes, exchange assignments and their locations.

This data set is suitable for applications that need to identify valid Mexico telephone exchanges, where they are, what time zone they are located in, and whether the exchange is mobile/cellular or fixed landline.

CountryCodeCHAR (3)International Telephone Union ITU-T Recommendation E.164 numeric country code. Commonly referred to as an International Dialing code or numbering plan, this code is the combination of one, two or three digits identifying a specific country, countries in an integrated numbering plan, or a specific geographic area.
AreaCodeVARCHAR (15)Equivalent to an NPA in the North American Numbering Plan. When present the (Numbering Plan) Area Code defines a geographic service area or service type within the national telephone numbering plan.
CityCodeVARCHAR (15)Equivalent to an NXX in the North American Numbering Plan. When present the (Numbering Plan) City Code defines a local exchange area or service type within the national telephone numbering plan.
NDCVARCHAR (15)ITU-T E.164 National Destination Code (NDC).Commonly referred to as an International City Code or (Numbering Plan) Area Code, the NDC is a nationally optional code field, which – combined with the Subscriber's Number (SN) – will constitute the national (significant) number of the international E.164-number for geographic areas. The NDC can be a decimal digit or a combination of decimal digits (not including any prefix) identifying a numbering area within a country (or group of countries included in one integrated numbering plan or a specific geographic area) and/or network/services.
SN_FromVARCHAR (15)Subscriber’s Number (SN) beginning range (low range) in this block assignment. In many numbering plans the subscriber number contains significant leading digits that (in addition to the NDC) further define the local exchange area and/or service.
SN_ToVARCHAR (15)Subscriber’s Number (SN) ending range (high range) in this block assignment.
NumberTypeCHAR (1)Type of service. associated with the particular telephone exchange or number.
  • G - Geographic land line, fixed, includes POTS, VoIP, etc.
  • M - mobile, includes cellular, PCS, GSM, etc.
  • F - Freephone
  • S - Special (premium service, data, internet access, etc. which all incur a higher charge rate).

ISO1CHAR (2)ISO 3166-1 alpha 2 country code
ISO2VARCHAR (10)Postal or commonly recognized abbreviation or code of the state, province, department, territory, or similar division within the country associated with the National Destination Code if any. If a standard national abbreviation does not exist for the region the value will be that specified in International Standard ISO 3166-2:2007 Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions.
CountryVARCHAR (128)ISO 3166-1 country name, short form.
StateVARCHAR (128)Name of the state, province, department, territory, or similar division, if any, identified by the area code, National Destination Code, or National (Significant) Number.
CountyVARCHAR (128)Name of the county, municipio, or other similar secondary division, if any, identified by the area code, National Destination Code, or National (Significant) Number.
CityVARCHAR (128)Name of the geographic service area, locale, city, municipality, or service type identified by the National (Significant) Number.
LatitudeDOUBLELatitude in decimal degree format locating the general geographic service area .
